The annual Hong Kong flower extravaganza made its return during Art Week in March, with the CJ Hendry Flower Market capturing widespread attention through its imaginative floral art installations. Liri Structure, leveraging its professional Clear Span Tent space solutions, created an immersive display environment for approximately 150,000 plush floral artworks on site, becoming a prominent landmark of this year’s Art Week.
As the vibrant floral art encountered the urban landscape of the Central Harbourfront, Liri Structure infused the event with unique charm through its meticulously crafted aluminum alloy tent structure. Located adjacent to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel, the semi-permanent tent structure complemented the surrounding landmark scenery, seamlessly integrating the art exhibition, urban atmosphere, and modern prefabricated architecture to present a distinctive art experience space.
This project utilized the Clear Span Tent structural design, leveraging the advantage of a large-span, column-free space to create an open and airy exhibition environment. The tent was equipped with transparent PVC fabric, which not only significantly enhanced the overall lighting effect but also naturally connected the interior and exterior landscapes, offering visitors a more immersive experience for viewing and photography, perfectly aligning with the high standards for spatial aesthetics and visual impact demanded by the Art Week event.
Concurrently, the project comes with a custom-designed flooring system, effectively ensuring a level, dry, and comfortable venue, further elevating the overall exhibition quality. Liri Structure also tailored a dedicated artistic entrance for the project in line with the event’s theme, reinforcing the sense of spatial ceremony while deepening visitors’ visual memory of the exhibition setting, fostering a deeper integration between the tent structure and the floral art.
Leveraging modular construction technology, Liri Structure completed the erection and commissioning of the Clear Span Tent efficiently within just a few days, significantly shortening the construction period and minimizing impact on site usage and the surrounding environment. This fully met the high demands of large-scale art events regarding timelines, efficiency, and quality.
In addition to the main exhibition tent, Liri Structure provided a comprehensive one-stop space solution for the event, including customized ticketing areas, rest areas, and storage areas.
