Recently, Liri Structure has provided a custom-made Eyelid Hangar Tent for a Civil Aviation Airport in Nigeria, using our mature modular aluminum structure technology. It creates an all-weather, quickly deployable space for general aviation aircraft, greatly improving airport operation and aircraft management efficiency.
The delivered Eyelid Hangar Tent has a span of 20m, side height of 5m, and top height of 8.6m, with a clear-span, no central column design, it fully maximizes interior space, allowing unrestricted aircraft entry and exit. The spacious and well-organized interior provides safe and stable storage for small aircraft and general aviation vehicles, while also meeting the needs of routine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations, greatly improving site utilization and operational convenience.
One-Touch Electric Operation
The hangar utilizes Liri Structure’s independently developed polygonal eyelid opening and closing structure, developed since 2015, and is equipped with an intelligent electric driving system. It is easy to operate, just like opening and closing an eyelid—one button opens or closes the door. This greatly shortens the time for aircraft to enter or exit, making movement efficient and control convenient.
Compared to traditional permanent hangar buildings, the eyelid hangar tent is a modular temporary structure with outstanding advantages such as rapid assembly and disassembly and flexible deployment—all components can be transported as a whole by aircraft, and after the aircraft is parked, only the crew needs to complete the installation. Furthermore, the product is highly adaptable to terrain; it can be directly installed on concrete surfaces, grass, and even temporary sites, significantly reducing on-site construction difficulty and shortening the construction period.
Durable, Safe, and Reliable
In material selection and structural design, this Eyelid Hangar Tent follows strict principles of durability, safety, and practicality, fully meeting European DIN 4102 B1、 M2 flame retardant standards:
The cover is made of 750g/sqm double PVC-coated polyester textile, with high tear resistance, aging resistance, waterproofing, windproofing, flame retardancy, and self-cleaning properties. This project features a custom-made plain white tent fabric with a clean and elegant appearance, while also possessing heat-insulating and sun-protective properties, effectively reducing heat damage to the aircraft and internal equipment caused by the intense African sun.
The supporting structure utilizes high-strength 6061/T6 hard-pressed extruded anodized aluminum alloy profiles, making it sturdy, lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and rust-proof, with a hardness of 15HW. The overall frame exhibits uniform stress distribution and high stability, withstanding winds up to level 10 (approximately 120km/h, 0.7kN/m²), ensuring safety and reliability even in the complex outdoor climate conditions of Africa.
